The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania has named the organization's 2012 board of directors and officers.
Garry L. Scheib, COO of University of Pennsylvania Health System and executive director of Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, has been named 2012 chair of the board. In addition, Steven P. Johnson, president and CEO of Susquehanna Health in Williamsport has been appointed chair-elect, and Scott A. Becker, CEO of Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, will serve as treasurer.
The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania has also named five new board members: Thomas E. Beeman, president and CEO of Lancaster (Pa.) General Health; James M. Collins, president and CEO of St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh;
George A. Huber, associate dean at University of Pittsburgh (ex officio); Larry R. Kaiser, MD, CEO of Temple University Health System in Philadelphia and Janet Lienert, president of Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries (ex officio).
