Pennsylvania health system CEO to retire

Meadowbrook, Pa.-based Redeemer Health president and CEO Michael Laign has shared plans to retire, effective July 15, after 31 years as the health system's CEO. 

Gregory Wozniak will succeed Mr. Laign as president and CEO, effective July 15. Mr. Laign will remain in an advisory role during a transition period, according to a June 17 news release shared with Becker's

Prior to his new role, Mr. Wozniak served for 20 years in executive health system leadership positions, including president and CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa. 

During his time as president and CEO, Mr. Laign led multiple initiatives at the health system, including the partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper in Camden, N.J.

He also helped lead population health management and instill a safety and reliability culture at Redeemer Health.
