Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine created a new role: senior vice president for data and technology solutions.
Mitchell Schnall, MD, PhD, was named to this role and will be responsible for interpreting new tools and approaches to determine how to implement them at Penn Medicine, according to an April 30 news release from the health system.
Dr. Schnall will also oversee the offices of the CIO, chief medical information officer and chief analytics officer.
Prior to this, Dr. Schnall served as chair of radiology at Penn's Perelman School of Medicine.
