NYC Health + Hospitals appointed CEOs for two of its hospitals, effective Sept. 16.
Cristina Contreras was named CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, according to an Aug. 15 news release from the system.
Ms. Contreras comes to the 362-bed hospital in the South Bronx from NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where she has been CEO since 2021. She joined the system in 1995, the release said.
Julian John was named CEO of Metropolitan Hospital in East Harlem after serving as its CFO since 2021. Mr. John has over three decades of public accounting and hospital finance experience, the release said.
NYC Health + Hospitals is an 11-hospital system with additional health and long-term care centers.
