The North Carolina Hospital Association named Stephen J. Lawler president, effective July 1.
Here are four points:
1. Mr. Lawler is senior vice president of the regional group for Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas HealthCare System.
2. He has served as a medical corps service officer in the U.S. Army and held leadership positions at Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health.
3. He earned his MBA degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
4. North Carolina Hospital Association represents more than 130 hospitals.
