New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System selected Joel Dudley, PhD, to serve as executive vice president for precision health.
Here are five points:
1. As EVP of precision health, Dr. Dudley will create a precision health enterprise linking research conducted in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with implementation strategies developed with health system administrators and staff.
2. The precision health enterprise will focus on artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, patient health and wellness as well as external partnerships.
3. Dr. Dudley is currently director of the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a role which he will retain.
4. He is also the founding director of the Harris Center for Precision Wellness and the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Icahn.
5. Before joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Dudley co-founded and served as director of informatics at NuMedii, a company focused on big data, AI and systems biology.
