Shawn Lerch has received New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez's approval to serve as CEO of Miners' Colfax Medical Center in Raton, N.M., according to a Raton Range report.
The approval of Gov. Martinez was required because the Miner's Colfax CEO serves as an at-will employee of the governor.
Mr. Lerch is scheduled to begin serving as CEO July 9. He is a 16-year veteran of Columbus (Wis.) Community Hospital, where he began as a physical therapist assistant and is now the director of clinical support services.
