Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare has named Chad Wasserman its senior vice president and CIO, effective Feb. 1.
Mr. Wasserman succeeded P. Martin Paslick, who is retiring after 38 years with HCA. Mr. Paslick served as HCA's CIO for 11 years.
In his new role, Mr. Wasserman will lead more than 6,700 colleagues in the information technology group and be responsible for global IT strategy and support for the health system, its hospitals and care sites, according to a Feb. 5 HCA Healthcare news release.
Mr. Wasserman will also oversee automation, infrastructure, engineering, cloud, enterprise systems, software development and clinical technology initiatives.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Wasserman served in multiple roles at HCA for 28 years, including vice president of information technology group service line and corporate solutions, vice president of ITG digital patient experience, and vice president of ITG infrastructure services and operations.
