HCA Midwest Health in Overland Park, Kan., has appointed Garrett Allen senior vice president of business development.
In his new role, Mr. Allen will develop the HCA Midwest Health network and work with physicians and leaders to increase patient volumes, market share and earnings.
He joins the health system from St. Louis-based BJC Healthcare, where he spent the past 13 years in leadership roles for BJC and its academic affiliate, Washington University School of Medicine, according to a Jan. 24 news release.
Most recently, Mr. Allen served as executive director of physician integration and strategy at BJC, helping Missouri Baptist Medical Center develop and deploy the initial phases of a strategic campus plan, negotiate physician deals focused on academic integration and new service offerings, and create business plans for growth initiatives connected to strategic service line development.
He has a master's degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
