Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center has named Sharad Sahu, MD, vice president of clinical integration.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Sahu.
1. In his new role, he will lead the integration of clinical programs, ensuring standards of care across HackensackUMC.
2. Dr. Sahu, who is board-certified in internal medicine, has been a part of the HackensackUMC community since 2004. He was director of physician affairs, chairman of the Medical Executive Committee, chief of the division of general internal medicine, chairman of the clinical integration committee and the physician lead for the partnership between urgent care provider CityMD and HackensackUMC.
3. Dr. Sahu has also served as the physician lead for the Integration Steering Committee with HackensackUMC Palisades in North Bergen, N.J.
4. He also directly oversees urgent care ventures for HackensackUMC.
5. Dr. Sahu attended medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine in St. George's, St. George, Grenada.
