John Lloyd, co-CEO of Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health, is retiring next week, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Here are three things to know:
1. Mr. Lloyd has co-led Hackensack Meridian Health with Robert Garrett since Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center and Meridian Health merged in 2016.
2. During his tenure, Mr. Lloyd led mergers with Red Bank, N.J.-based Riverview Medical Center, along with Brick (N.J.) Hospital and Point Pleasant (N.J.) Hospital. This created Meridian Health in 1997.
3. Mr. Lloyd will act as a consultant for six months after his retirement, according to the Asbury Park Press. He is also working with a startup and serves on the board of OceanFirst Financial Corp., a banking company in Toms River, N.J.
