Valentin Fuster, MD, has been appointed physician-in-chief of Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, according to a hospital news release.
Physician-in-chief is a new position that was developed to ensure the continued excellence of patient care and satisfaction at Mount Sinai. Dr. Fuster has also been re-appointed as director of Mount Sinai Heart, the Zena and Michael A. Weiner Cardiovascular Institute and the Marie-Josée and Henry R. Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health for a new five-year term.
