Rob Mayo, MD, has been appointed CMO of Rochester (N.Y.) General Health System.
Dr. Mayo joined RGHS in 2002 and has served in a variety of leadership positions, including president of the medical and dental staff of Rochester General Hospital. He has also held many faculty positions at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Dr. Mayo is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in nephrology. He will continue to practice part-time.
Dr. Mayo is replacing Richard Gangemi, MD, who is retiring from the CMO position on Dec. 31.
