Ann Errichetti, MD, a board-certified cardiologist, was named CEO of St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y., becoming the first physician CEO at St. Peter's in its 142-year history.
Previously, Dr. Errichetti was president of Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Ill., and most recently she was chief academic officer of Oak Brook, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care since 2006.
Dr. Errichetti's tenure as CEO will formally begin Sept. 4, 2012, and she takes over for Steven Boyle, who became CEO of parent organization St. Peter's Health Partners, which resulted from the merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter's Health Care Services and Seton Health.
