David Fikse is leaving his post as CEO of Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va., for an executive position at Community Health Systems, the hospital's parent, according to a report by the Progress-Index.
Mr. Fikse will leave the 408-bed hospital to become vice president for operations at Division II at Community Health, a for-profit company that owns, operates or leases 122 hospitals in 29 states.
A Southside Regional spokeswoman said no replacement had been announced yet.
