San Francisco-based Dignity Health has shuffled various leaders within its hospitals as part of a statewide restructuring being carried out by its parent, Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal.
In April, Jill Welton, MSN, RN, was promoted to market president of Dignity Health Southern California, according to the report. Ms. Welton formerly helmed Glendale (Calif.) Memorial Hospital and Health Center.
Betsy Hart, MSN, was selected as the new president and CEO of Glendale Memorial, effective Aug. 19. Ms. Hart has more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, most recently serving as COO of Dignity Health's Northridge (Calif.) Hospital Medical Center, according to a news release shared with Becker's.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Zoch, PhD, was appointed president and CEO of Dignity Health-Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Zoch began his new role Aug. 19, according to a news release shared with Becker's. He replaces Paul Watkins, who announced his retirement earlier this year, the Business Journal reported.
Dr. Zoch joins Northridge from the 463-bed Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange (Calif.), where he most recently served as CEO.
In other moves in California, Dignity Health appointed two hospital presidents in its Central Coast market.
Sue Andersen will lead Dignity Health-French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Patrick Caster will oversee Dignity Health-St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, Calif., and Dignity Health-St. John's Hospital Camarillo (Calif.), according to a news release shared with Becker's.
In addition, Christina (Tina) Johnson, MD, was named president of Dignity Health's Sacramento market in California.
Dr. Johnson, who previously served as president and CEO of Dignity's Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, now oversees hospitals including Mercy General, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Woodland Memorial Hospital, Methodist Hospital of Sacramento and Mercy Hospital of Folsom, according to an April health system news release.
Dignity Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a system of more than 2,200 care sites in 24 states.
