Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, N.Y., named Richard A. Duvall CEO, effective in mid-October.
Mr. Duvall is currently CEO of Carthage (N.Y.) Area Hospital. He will continue in that role, serving as CEO of both hospitals. This decision, which was approved by both facilities' boards of directors, does not represent a merger or acquisition. The two hospitals have worked collaboratively since their respective affiliations with Syracuse, N.Y.-based Crouse Health in 2017.
Mr. Duvall has worked at Carthage Area Hospital since 2008, serving in several leadership roles, before becoming CEO in 2014.
He replaces Charles Gijanto, who is retiring as Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center CEO.
