Matthew Thomas has been appointed CFO for Orlando (Fla.) Health South Seminole Hospital and assistant vice president at Orlando Health.
He joins the 11-hospital system with 17 years of finance and accounting experience. In this role, Mr. Thomas will provide financial expertise, monitor daily operating expenses and develop key performance indicators.
Before joining Orlando Health, Mr. Thomas served as senior vice president of finance and CFO of Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone, N.C. He previously held financial leadership roles at hospitals in Murphy, N.C.; Natchez, Miss.; San Angelo, Texas and Franklin, Tenn.
Mr. Thomas succeeds Holly Brown as CFO of South Seminole Hospital. Ms. Brown retired in April.
