Clint Seger, MD, has been promoted from interim to permanent CEO of Billings (Mont.) Clinic.
He broke the news during an interview published May 15 by local news station KTVQ. During the same interview, he said the hospital's plan to "right the ship" financially was slowly working — acknowledging that for a large organization, change will take time.
Dr. Seger was named interim CEO in August following the resignation of Scott Ellner, DO. He had served the system for more than a decade as a family medicine physician and spent eight years as regional chief medical officer.
Dr. Seger is still listed as both chief executive officer and regional chief medical officer on Billings Clinic's website. The site also names two interim chief medical officers: Erin Rains, DO, and Ryan Schwanke, MD.
