Russell Harrington Jr., president and CEO of Little Rock, Ark.-based Baptist Health, plans to retire, effective July 1, according to an Arkansas Business report.
Mr. Harrington has served as president and CEO of the health system since 1984. Prior, he was associate executive director of Baptist Health, administrator of Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark., and executive director of Baptist Memorial Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Once he retires, Mr. Harrington will remain president emeritus and senior advisor of Baptist Health.
Troy Wells, senior vice president of administrative services of Baptist Health, has been named Mr. Harrington's successor.
