Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, Calif., has named Varsha Chauhan, MD, MHA, as executive director of its System of Transformation Center, according to Virtual Strategy Magazine report.
In this newly created position, Dr. Chauhan will report to ACMC CEO Wright Lassiter III. Dr. Chauhan is responsible for oversight of the medical center's efforts to implement its CMS incentive payment program and will also oversee the hospital's Lean initiative, patient experience enhancement, clinical integration and enterprise-wide initiatives, according to the report.
Prior to joining ACMC, Dr. Chauhan served as COO of Tri-City Health Center in Fremont, Calif. She also served as the project director of the organization's electronic health records and enterprise practice management initiatives.
