1. Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis has tapped Aamina B. Akhtar, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Sept. 16.
2. Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth appointed Noreen Bernard, EdD, RN, chief nursing officer of UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Colo.
3. Mercy Health St. Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., appointed Matt Biersack, MD, CMO.
4. University of Cincinnati Health appointed Beverly Bokovitz, DNP, RN, its first chief nursing executive.
5. Baltimore-based University of Maryland Shore Regional Health appointed Jennifer L. Bowie vice president for nursing and patient care services and chief nursing officer.
6. Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss., appointed Phyllis Chambers-Berry, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer.
7. Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, Pa., has selected David Csikos, MD, to serve as CMO.
8. Wilson (N.C.) Medical Center appointed Theresa Dix chief nursing officer.
9. Memorial Hospital at Gulfport (Miss.) has tapped Mark A. Gilbert, MD, to serve as CMO.
10. Doctors Hospital of Sarasota (Fla.) named Todd Haner, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer.
11. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System has tapped J. Edward Hartle, MD, to serve as executive vice president and CMO.
12. IU Health Bedford (Ind.) Hospital has tapped Amy Little, DNP, RN, to serve as vice president and chief nursing officer.
13. Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby, Mont., named Douglas Mudgett, RN, its new chief nursing officer.
14. Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine, a three-hospital system, named Peggy Norton-Rosko, DNP, regional chief nursing officer, effective Sept. 9.
15. Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Mercy Health Saint Mary's has named Michelle Pena, RN, chief nursing officer, effective Sept. 22.
16. MemorialCare Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center has tapped Eric Ramos, MD, to serve as CMO.
17. Lexington, Ky.-based CHI Saint Joseph Health named Travis Sewalls, MD, CMO of Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East, both also based in Lexington.
