The following hospital and health system COO moves have been shared with or reported by Becker's this year:

Nov. 8-Dec. 14

1. Jerry Klein, COO of Gillette, Wyo.-based Campbell County Health, is stepping down from his post, effective Dec. 29.

2. Terika Richardson was named senior executive vice president and COO of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health.

3. Jeff Lindsay was selected as Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health's new president and COO.

4. Amy Feeley-Austin is the new COO of the Hawaii Health System Corp.'s West region.

5. Denny Hamilton will serve as interim COO of Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo., when the hospital joins Columbia, Mo.-based University of Missouri Health Care.

6. Paul VerValin, executive vice president and enterprise COO of Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie Clinic, was appointed to a dual role as president of its Corning (N.Y.) Hospital.

7. Cory Everett resigned from his position as COO of Maryville, Tenn.-based Blount Memorial Hospital. No interim or replacement has been named. 

8. Kevin Parsley was named COO of Beaumont-based Christus Southeast Texas Health System.

9. Jason Carter joined Durham, N.C.-based Duke Regional Hospital as COO.

10. Marty Cahill, CEO of Samaritan Lebanon (Ore.) Community Hospital, was named to the newly created role of COO-hospitals at Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Health Services. 

11. Cathy Garzio was named executive vice provost and COO of New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine.

12. Alejandro Romero is the new COO of El Paso, Texas-based Del Sol Medical Center.  

13. Samuel Boadi was named COO of Brooksville-based HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital.

14. Matt Walsh was named executive vice president and COO of Chicago-based Rush University System for Health.

15. Anna Michelle Brandt was named COO of University Hospital in Newark, N.J.

16. Walter Long was named COO of HCA Florida Lake City Hospital.

17. Marco Lozano was named COO of Laredo (Texas) Medical Center.

Oct. 6-Nov. 7

1. Cassie Penn was named COO of Callaway (Neb.) District Hospital and Medical Clinics.

2. Maria Morales-Menendez was selected as the new group COO for the Palm Beach Health Network and St. Mary's Medical Center, part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

3. Cheryl Klass, BSN, RN, executive vice president and COO and the former chief nursing executive for Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health, plans to retire from the organization.

4. Dale Steakley, BSN, RN, joined Dignity Health Woodland (Calif.) Memorial Hospital as its new vice president, COO and chief nurse executive.

5. Chris Anderson was selected as executive vice president and COO of Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care.

6. Nancy Susick, RN, COO of acute and post-acute care for Corewell Health East, will become president of Corewell Health's Beaumont Hospital, Troy (Mich.). 

7. Brian Brasser will become interim COO of acute and post-acute care for Corewell Health East, part of Corewell Health, which has dual headquarters in Grand Rapids and Southfield, Mich.

8. Corey Snider was named assistant vice president and COO of Orlando (Fla.) Health's Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. 

9. Brent Robinson was named COO of Piedmont Augusta (Ga.).

Aug. 22-Oct. 5

1. Marcie Ordowich was named COO of the RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group.

2. Matt Wille was named COO of Neenah, Wis.-based ThedaCare.

3. Joe Rudisill is the new CEO of HCA Florida Englewood Hospital.

4. Joshua Alexander was named COO of Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital.

5. Dane Peterson was named COO of Dallas-based Children's Health.

6. Joshua DeTillio was named COO of Nutex Health, a micro-hospital network headquartered in Houston.

7. John Pohlman, senior vice president and CFO of Oceanside, N.Y.-based Mount Sinai South Nassau, will assume the additional role of COO.

8. Susan Wade is the Abilene Market COO at Abilene, Texas-based Hendrick Health.

9. Kirk Canada is the vice president and COO for Abilene, Texas-based Hendrick Health.  

10. Jory Lee is COO of Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood, Texas.

July 15-Aug. 21

1. Michelle Niermann will become COO of West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health's East Division.

2. Pamela Delagardelle will become COO of West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health's West Division.

3. Tadren Kennedy was named COO of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, Calif.

4. Gonzalo Solís will serve as COO of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

5. Madison Workman was named COO of Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

6. Chelsea Reynolds Desrosiers was selected to serve in the combined role of COO and CFO of Cary Medical Center in Caribou, Maine.

7. Todd Blake was named COO of Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center and Miller Children's and Women's Hospital Long Beach. 

8. Krista Curell, RN, was appointed executive vice president and COO of University of Chicago Health System. 

9. Ardel Guillamas Avelino, DNP, RN, was named vice president and COO of Dignity Health-St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif.

10. Lou Baverso was named COO of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System.

1. Anthony Meador is the new COO of Austin, Texas-based Ascension Seton Medical Center. 

2. Chad Whelan, MD, was named president and COO of Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

3. Richard Cuming, EdD, MSN, RN, was named COO of Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare.

4. Janie Thompson was named COO of St. David's Georgetown (Texas) Hospital.

5. Valarie McPherson, DNP, RN, was appointed to a dual role at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, N.J., as its chief nursing officer and COO.

6. Michelle Romano, MSN, RN, was promoted to an expanded dual role as chief nursing officer and COO at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

1. Alan Lee was promoted from COO of New Brunswick, N.J.-based Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to president.

2. Matthew Timmons was named senior vice president and COO of Children's Hospital New Orleans.

3. Andrew Welcome was named COO of LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Va.

4. Teresa Cornelius, DNP, RN, was named COO of St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Ill., alongside her current role as chief nursing officer. 

5. Nichole Geraci, COO of Kittanning. Pa.-based ACMH Hospital, was promoted to president and CEO.

6. Marcus Jackson was named COO of Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.

7. Darrin Cook was named permanent COO of Tenet Healthcare's Massachusetts market and Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass.

5. Iliana Mora was named executive vice president and COO of Sinai Chicago. 

6. Monica Wharton was named COO and executive vice president of Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. 

7. Paige Laughlin, COO of HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, was named interim CEO.

3. Joseph Tolentino, DNP, BSN, was named COO of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente's Orange County service area.

4. Mark Sevco was named senior vice president and COO of Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.

5. Dave Hyatt, COO of Noblesville, Ind.-based Riverview Health, was promoted to president and CEO. 

6. Julie Covault was named COO of Sidney, Ohio-based Wilson Health.

7. Claire Chitwood was selected to oversee two hospitals as divisional COO with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health.
