Centegra Health System, based in McHenry, Ill., with three main acute-care hospitals, is in a highly competitive area of Chicago's northwest suburbs, and CFO Robert Rosenberger is making sure the health system maintains a leading market share.
This month, analysts at Fitch Ratings assigned an "A-" rating to Centegra's $195 million in revenue refunding bonds. Mr. Rosenberger is leading the health system's financial investment strategy, which will include a new 128-bed acute-care hospital in Huntley, Ill., to benefit on the growing population in McHenry County.
Mr. Rosenberger and the executive team are also focused on physician alignment, which will reinforce its patient base and remain competitive with Oak Brook, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care. "Fitch expects Centegra's strong management practices and integrated physician operating platform to continue to generate improved cash flow," according to Fitch's report.
Mr. Rosenberger has been with Centegra since 2004, when he joined as director of accounting. He became controller in August 2006 and eventually moved into his current CFO role in December 2006.
