Daniel Cancelmi has been a part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare for 17 years, and this past September, he officially became CFO of the entire organization.
Mr. Cancelmi stepped in for Biggs Porters, who left Tenet to serve as CFO of Fluor Corp., an engineering and construction company.
Mr. Cancelmi now heads the financial oversight of Tenet, which recorded $8.85 billion of net revenue in fiscal year 2011. In the second quarter of FY 2012, Tenet posted $2.27 billion in net revenue, a 6.3 percent increase from the second quarter last year.
Prior to becoming Tenet's CFO, Mr. Cancelmi was CFO of Hahnemann University Hospital, a Tenet facility based in Philadelphia. He also has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Pittsburgh and New York City.
