Stephen Garrison is president and CEO of Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale (Texas).
Mr. Garrison took over leadership of the 70-bed hospital in July 2011. He also serves as president and CEO of TRMC Management, a health and wellness management company that manages TRMC-Sunnyvale's daily business activities.
Prior to serving TRMC-Sunnyvale, Mr. Garrison was a principal in Bain & Co.'s Dallas office. He joined the company in 2005 and was a member of the firm's healthcare practice area and the performance improvement capability areas. During his time at Bain, Mr. Garrison's work experience included turnarounds, cost reductions, marketing, complexity reductions and supply chain management for healthcare and other industry clients. He also launched and led the Bain Dallas Health Care practice area and related business development.
Prior to joining Bain, Mr. Garrison served as a domestic policy advisor at the White House for President George W. Bush. He also served in the policy office for then-Governor George W. Bush and focused on healthcare policy for the 1998 Texas Legislative Session. He also served on Bush's 2000 Presidential Campaign policy staff.
