Brock Nelson has served as president and CEO of Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., since February 2003. Regions Hospital is owned by Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners.
Prior to joining Regions Hospital, Mr. Nelson served as CEO of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minneapolis and St. Paul and vice president of United Hospital of St. Paul.
Currently, as the leader of Regions Hospital, Mr. Nelson is committed to transforming healthcare delivery to improve the health of the community. "Our medical community, academic and research partnerships allow us to be leaders in focusing on providing the best care through an integrated approach to hospital and clinic-based care that extends to home, as well as transitional and skilled nursing services," he has said. "Transforming healthcare will ensure our mission of providing the best care and experience for all members of our community."
When he's not busy leading Regions Hospital, Mr. Nelson is involved in several community organizations. He has served on the board of directors of The Courage Center, the Greater Minneapolis YMCA, The Capital City Partnership, the St. Paul Regional Red Cross and Omnicell.
Mr. Nelson received the Healthcare Emerging Leader Award in 1989 and has received the St. Olaf Collage Distinguished Alumni Award. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Northfield, Minn.-based college.
Mr. Nelson earned a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
