Bonnie Phipps is the president and CEO of Saint Agnes HealthCare in Baltimore, which includes Saint Agnes Hospital, also located in Baltimore. She also serves as a ministry market leader for Edmundson, Mo.-based Ascension Health.
Ms. Phipps provides strategic and operational leadership for Saint Agnes while promoting alignment among Ascension's health ministries. She also shares accountability for strategic positioning and operational performance of the health ministries within her market, which includes Saint Agnes HealthCare and Hospital; Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.; Carondelet Health in Kansas City, Mo., Lourdes Health Network in Pasco, Wash., and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho.
Prior to joining Saint Agnes in January 2006, Ms. Phipps served as president and CEO of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. She also served as president and CEO of Marietta, Ga.-based PROMINA Health System and as CFO of DeKalb Medical Center and Egleston Children's Hospital, both in Atlanta.
Ms. Phipps served as national chairman of Healthcare Financial Management Association from 1992 to 1993, and received the Morgan Award in 1996, the highest award given by HFMA for individual contributions in the healthcare industry.
