The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange selected three new members to serve on its board of directors.
WEDI, a nonprofit that focuses on interoperability and healthcare information exchange, serves as an advisor to HHS. Its board of directors includes payers, providers, government regulators and industry vendors.
The newly elected board members are:
• Laurie Burckhardt of WPS Health Solutions
• Crystal Ewing of ZirMed
• Laurie Woodrome of LabCorp
WEDI also re-elected eight board of directors members. They are:
• Durwin Day of Health Care Service Corp.
• John Kelly of Edifecs
• Deborah Meisner of Change Healthcare
• Ryan Reddick of Anthem
• Erin Richardson of Federation of American Hospitals
• Samuel E. Rubenstein of New York City-based Montefiore Medical Center
• Debra Strickland of Conduent
• Robert Tennant of Medical Group Management Association
