Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center's new $150 million patient tower has rooms that are equipped with electronic signs that are connected to patients' electronic medical records, Valley News reported May 7.
The electronic signs will be able to inform patients' care teams of their medical conditions.
The tower is also equipped with monitors next to patient beds that will be regularly updated through the EHR, which will give clinicians access to information like vital signs and the patient's pain management plan.
The beds are also outfitted with iPads that connect to MyChart Bedside so patients can view their own medical records.
Each room also has a video monitor that allows patients to connect with their care teams.
The first patients were moved to the tower on May 2.
