Study: 33% of Consumers Interested in Managing Their Health Records Online

Thirty-three percent of consumers are interested in managing their health records online, according to a Consumer Electronics Association study.

The study, "The New Role of Technology in Consumer Health and Wellness," also revealed that 36 percent of consumers would be interested in sending health data to their physician via a wireless device and 32 percent would be willing to consult with their physician via online video.

Among specific devices, consumers were most interested in using body weight scales (44 percent), followed by vital sign meters and gauges (40 percent) and devices that record progress through a fitness plan (37 percent).
