Report: 74% of US Hospitals Plan to Purchase Health Information Exchange Solutions

A CapSite report found that 74 percent of U.S. hospitals plan to purchase new health information exchange solutions, according to a company news release.

The report, "2011 U.S. Health Information Exchange (HIE) Study," includes responses from more than 340 hospitals. Results showed that the most popular HIE solutions that hospitals plan to purchase are master patient index/patient and provider indexes, immunization reporting and results reporting/delivery.
