Einstein at Elkins Park (Pa.), part of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, has implemented a critical care telemedicine program for hospital intensive care units, according to a health system news release.
The tele-ICU program is designed to improve outcomes and increase patient safety. Through a partnership with tele-ICU services company Advanced ICU Care, intensivist physicians and critical care specialists provide around-the-clock remote monitoring of patients in the ICU. Automated smart alerts identify problems early and allow immediate intervention.
