Orion Health has partnered with the Alaska eHealth Network to provide technology for the state's health information exchange, according to an Orion news release.
The partnership will establish statewide electronic health records to connect healthcare providers across the state and create a system for tracking chronic disease and coordinated care programs. Alaska currently relies on paper-based medical records or non-connected electronic systems.
AeHN went through an extensive evaluation process before selecting Orion Health, making the selection based on cost-effectiveness, patient safety and patient privacy.
