The ONC posted more than 100 public comments on its Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement Draft 2, which aims to establish regulations to help support nationwide electronic health information exchange.
Various healthcare stakeholders such as HIEs, health services providers, hospitals, patient advocates and healthcare payers submitted comments. ONC will update TEFCA, the minimum required terms and conditions and the QHIN technical framework based on comments received by the deadline.
Organizations that submitted comments include the American Hospital Association, Epic, Allscripts, Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
