The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT will work with a contractor to explore the roles and issues in electronic consent mechanisms for health information exchanges, according to a Federal Business Opportunities release.
The contractor, which has not yet been named, will also look at ways patients can be educated on e-consent as well as the challenges presented with collecting and tracking patient choice in the electronic environment.
