Omer F. Awan, the senior director of the information systems division at Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, has joined the Brewer, Maine-based Eastern Maine Healthcare System as vice president and senior regional CIO.
Before moving to Memorial Hermann Health System, Mr. Awan was a project executive at Cerner Corp. He received the CIO Magazine/CIO Executive Council Ones to Watch award in 2014. He will report to the system-wide CIO for EMHS, Kyle Johnson.
