Organizations must submit nominations to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and Federal Health Architecture to present their interoperability successes at the HIMSS 2012 Interoperability Showcase by Oct. 26, according to a CONNECT report.
Interested organizations must demonstrate interoperable health information exchange in an ONC-related initiative, such as Nationwide Health Information Network, CONNECT, Direct Project, State HIE Programs, Standards & Interoperability Framework, SHARP Program, Regional Extension Centers and Beacon Communities. The demonstrations, which must be live, are required to show interoperable HIE among at least three end-user organizations.
