The Missouri Health Connection, a non-profit group, is one step closer to reaching its goal of developing a statewide health information exchange, according to a Kansas City Star news report.
The Health Connection has chosen Cerner to be the technical service provider for the HIE. A part of the healthcare reform law, HIEs are designed to support the private and secure flow of health information among physicians, hospitals and other facilities and care providers for improved care coordination.
