McKesson Medical-Surgical has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Portico Systems, a company that enables healthcare organizations to design, build, service and provide value-based reimbursement to their provider networks, according to a McKesson news release.
The acquisition will bring together financial management competencies for payors and accountable care organizations that include claims auditing and decision management tools from McKesson Health Solutions and connectivity solutions from RelayHealth. Portico adds integrated provider management and value-based reimbursement solutions to the McKesson portfolio.
