The Maine Primary Care Association, a non-profit organization aimed at improving and maintaining healthcare quality, has partnered with Arcadia Solutions on a new quality initiative that plans to improve quality outcomes and decrease healthcare costs through the use of healthcare technology, according to a news release.
The initiative is part of a statewide priority to gather and standardize electronic patient health information for evidence-based decision-making. MPCA and the Arcadia Solutions team are also working on other health IT solutions, including a centralized database that houses and standardizes clinical data from each community health center's EHR system, an interface that directly connects the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention with health centers and a reporting service that alerts MPCA providers when their Medicaid patients are up for reenrollment.
