Maine's statewide health information exchange is launching a pilot that would allow patients access to their continuity of care document, a summary of their complete HIE record.
HealthInfoNet, the statewide HIE, is currently seeking a provider organization to participate in the pilot and link its records to the exchange. Once connected, HealthInfoNet will use Blue Button technology to allow patient access to the records.
The pilot project is part of the State Innovation Model test grant, a partnership among healthcare industry stakeholders to improve care delivery in the state.
