Annapolis, Md.-based Luminis Health named Saad Chaudhry CIO.
Mr. Chaudry became CIO of the three-hospital health system on Nov. 2. He previously served as associate CIO for Anne Arundel Medical Center for two years before leaving in 2019 for a position with Gartner and Saudi German Hospitals in the United Arab Emirates.
Luminis Health was formed in 2019 and includes Annapolis-based Anne Arundel Medical Center, Lanham, Md.-based Doctors Community Medical Center and J. Kent McNew Family Medical Center in Annapolis. The health system has a team of 6,400 employees and 1,800 medical staff members.
"Luminis Health's hospitals are known for innovation in the digital space," said Mr. Chaudhry in a press release. "I look forward to driving the health system's strategy of leading with advanced technology in both clinical and business operations."
Mr. Chaudry has previous experience in leadership roles at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine and UPMC. He is a certified healthcare CIO by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
