Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health and Omnicell are expanding their contract to implement a cohesive medication dispensing solution in five additional Hackensack facilities.
Omnicell offers a medication management platform that helps pharmacists and healthcare providers ensure safer medication distribution practices and improve pharmacy efficiency to free up time for patient care.
"Patient safety is Hackensack Meridian Health's top priority," said Richard Epstein, vice president of network drug management at Hackensack Meridian Health. "We pride ourselves for being on the cutting edge of technology. The safer medication workflow through interoperability with our [EHR] system is a forward thinking approach that we embrace."
