Microsoft Healthcare welcomed Gregory Moore, MD, PhD, as corporate vice president of health technology and alliances, according to a company blog post.
Dr. Moore comes to Microsoft from Google, where he served as a leader on Google Cloud's health team, CNBC reporter Christiana Farr wrote on Twitter.
At Microsoft, Dr. Moore will be responsible for leading collaborative research and development efforts with the company's strategic alliance partners. For example, Microsoft partnered with the Walgreens Bot Alliance to bring together synergistic research and development and new business models.
Dr. Moore will focus on bringing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to the different partnerships. He will also provide internal and external thought leadership to have a more open, interoperable and AI-enabled foundation for healthcare delivery, according to the blog post.
