In collaboration with Citizens Reserve, a firm led by former Deloitte blockchain experts, Durham, N.C.-based Duke University will develop a blockchain incubation lab, according to CoinDesk.
The lab will allow students to focus on blockchain projects. Duke University will further establish its blockchain curriculum. The university offers students courses on cryptoventures.
"Many industries, including finance, supply chain and healthcare, are already exploring the potential of blockchain technology, so it is more important than ever to provide students with the tools needed to develop skills, connections and knowledge employers will seek from tomorrow's workforce," Yonathan Lapchik, chief innovation officer at Citizens Reserve told the publication.
Citizens Reserve released a supply chain blockchain in September using ethereum and Quorum platforms. Duke students will be able to test the system and other blockchains in the incubation lab.
