Through a new partnership with drchrono, health information management students with the American Health Information Management Association will have hands-on experience working with drchrono's EHR and practice management platform.
Students going through AHIMA's Virtual Lab curriculum will have full access to drchrono's platforms, allowing them practice handling patient cases and scenarios using medical software, such as looking at prescriptions and lab results. Additionally, the platform can help students understand medical billing and the medical claims process.
"The way that we're going to revolutionize medicine is to educate students going into medical profession from around the world. We're aiming to give students the best EHR and practice management software to learn from," said Daniel Kivatinos, COO and co-founder of drchrono, in a statement.
Through this rollout, approximately 10,000 students and 450 universities across the world will have access to drchrono's EHR and practice management software for learning purposes.
