Centura Health, based in Englewood, Colo., and the state's largest healthcare provider, has agreed to connect its electronic health record system with the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization's health information exchange, according to a company news release.
Twelve Centura Health acute-care hospitals will be able to link patients' health information among each other, and there are now 26 hospitals connected to CORHIO.
"As the state's largest healthcare provider, we are committed to leveraging technology to improve patient care, quality and safety," President and CEO of Centura Health Gary Campbell said in the release. "Connecting our electronic health record to CORHIO's health information exchange allows us to touch more Coloradans and contribute collectively to sustaining the health of our state for generations to come."
