Boston's Tufts Medical Center Accused of Faxing Patient's Medical History Without Consent

A patient of Tufts Medical Center in Boston has filed a lawsuit against the hospital, alleging it faxed her personal patient information without obtaining her consent, according to a Boston Globe news report.

The patient was expecting to receive a document relating to her disability claim to her workplace. The complaint against Tufts alleges the hospital faxed documents that included her medical history instead of the disability claim form. Tufts has denied all wrongdoing in this case.
