Amazon to sell EHR-mining software; Apple reportedly working with VA & more — 12 health IT key notes

1. In a move that expands its presence in the healthcare space, Amazon is selling software that mines patient health records for information that would help physicians improve treatments and hospitals cut costs.

2. Amwell and InTouch Health are among the first five organizations accredited under the ClearHealth Quality Institute's new telemedicine accreditation program.

3. Apple and the Department of Veterans Affairs are reportedly in talks to allow veterans to store their health records in their iPhones.
